Vacancy - Cancer Alliance Community Panel Coordinator

based at Healthwatch Wakefield

22.5 flexible working hours per week £25,930 pro rata 1 year funding currently

We are delighted to advertise this post which is a fantastic opportunity for someone interested in improving services for cancer patients in our region.

Based in Central Wakefield, the post holder will bring together a pool of volunteers to form a panel of cancer patients, carers and other people who have an interest in cancer care services. The panel will cover all of West Yorkshire and Harrogate and members will need to represent the diversity of the area.

The Cancer Alliance, part of the West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership, has five work streams, each of which may ask for panel involvement and the post holder will be responsible for recruiting, inducting and supporting volunteers who will come together in a variety of ways to do this.

Support for the Coordinator and panel will come from the six Healthwatch across the West Yorkshire and Harrogate area, the West Yorkshire and Harrogate Cancer Alliance and the Yorkshire Cancer Patient Forum post based at Healthwatch Wakefield.
